Casino-themed entertainment 18+ Symbolic chips only — no real-money gambling Auckland, New Zealand

Every event we produce is a private function, so client names stay off this page. Everything else — the brief, the numbers, the decisions and what they produced — is real, and shared with each client's permission.

Corporate Casino Night

120-guest client reception, tech sector

  • CityAuckland
  • Guests120
  • Tables7 hosted
  • Host team9
  • Duration6 hours
Modern office atrium at dusk — the client reception venue

The brief

A fast-growing software company wanted a client reception that would stand apart from the standard canapés-and-keynote circuit, without feeling gimmicky in front of enterprise customers.

What we did

Seven hosted table stations arranged in a horseshoe around a central lounge, with roulette as the social anchor. Chips carried the client's logo on one face and the event date on the other. Hosted sessions were split around a short product address, and the leaderboard doubled as a conversation engine between the client's team and their guests.

The outcome

The programme remained an elegant social experience from door to trophy — not gambling in any form. Symbolic chips kept the competition light, and the client's follow-up survey rated the evening 4.8 out of 5, with the branded chip sets requested as keepsakes by more than half the guests.

VIP Evening

Partner dinner for a professional services firm

  • CityWellington
  • Guests44
  • Tables3 hosted
  • Host team5 + concierge
  • Duration5 hours
Heritage library room with wooden shelves where the partner dinner ran

The brief

A firm marking its twentieth year wanted a partners' dinner with a difference — formal enough for senior guests, engaging enough that people would still be talking at midnight.

What we did

Three tables with premium finishes in a heritage venue's library room. Table sessions were deliberately unhurried: a dedicated concierge managed arrivals, and hosts ran conversational, slow-paced rounds between dinner courses. Printed table cards carried the firm's original 2006 letterhead as a design motif.

The outcome

The pacing worked exactly as designed — the room self-organised around the tables after dessert, and the final count ran forty minutes late because nobody wanted to stop. The firm has since booked two further evenings for client entertainment.

Private Party

A 40th birthday in a rented hillside villa

  • CityAuckland (Waiheke)
  • Guests36
  • Tables2 hosted
  • Host team3
  • Duration4 hours
Hillside villa terrace with a wooden deck — the birthday venue

The brief

A surprise 40th, planned by the guest of honour's partner, in a rented villa with a terrace, a narrow staircase, and no lift. The guest list mixed close family with old university friends — three generations, most of whom had never touched a poker chip.

What we did

Two compact tables, carried up in sections and rebuilt on the terrace before guests arrived. Hosts opened with a five-minute crash course pitched at total beginners, and ran a two-team format so the generations mixed instead of clustering. The birthday guest's face was printed on the highest-value symbolic chip — a detail that got the biggest laugh of the night.

The outcome

Four hours of table time with an age range of 19 to 74 at the felt. The client's note afterwards: “my mother-in-law is still talking about blackjack.”

Team Building

Conference-closing rotation for a national retailer

  • CityHamilton
  • Guests96
  • Tables6 hosted
  • Host team8
  • Duration3 hours
Conference audience seated before the closing table rotation

The brief

Close a two-day national conference with something that would push store managers from different regions to actually meet each other — not retreat into regional cliques at the bar.

What we did

Twelve squads of eight, deliberately mixed across regions, rotating through six tables on a twenty-minute circuit. Group scoring pooled each squad's symbolic chips, so the leaderboard rewarded coordination over individual streaks. Hosts acted as facilitators with a quiet brief: keep the quietest squad member in the game.

The outcome

Every squad completed the full circuit, and the closing tally came down to the final rotation. The client's people team measured a visible lift in cross-region introductions — their stated goal — and rebooked the format for the following year's conference before the tables were packed down.

Mobile Table Rental

Two tables inside a product launch

  • CityChristchurch
  • Guests180 (event total)
  • Tables2 + supervisor
  • Host team3
  • Duration4 hours
Product launch hall with string lights and stage beams

The brief

An agency producing a beverage launch wanted two hosted tables as one zone within a larger event they were running themselves — our tables, their show.

What we did

A pure rental engagement: one roulette and one blackjack table, delivered and dressed to match the launch's visual identity, with hosts briefed on the agency's run sheet rather than ours. The chip design used the product's launch colourway, signed off by the brand team from a proof we supplied within 48 hours.

The outcome

The table zone held a consistent queue-free crowd for all four hours and featured in most of the event's social coverage. The agency has since added our tables to two further productions — the quiet compliment we value most.
